RCM Report:
Anthony L.
1) Bob W won the vote to continue as RD.
2) One of the RD’s duty is to attend one North East Zonal Form a year.
A. The form is Oct 26-28 in Maine.
B. They will focus on:
• Fellowship development in rural, isolated areas.
• PR/PI learning day,
• The role of the NEZF
PRO Possibly can sell literature from the RSO to other regions in our zone,
We are the only region in the Zone with a “brick and mortar RSO”.
CON We wouldn’t be directly represented at World, it would be through the zone.
3). Helpline is at 73% coverage, 27 volunteers on subcommittee.
Please continue to report meeting closures.
4). H&I reports there are 87 presentations in August according to 6 out of 12 areas that
provided reports. Contact Willie P @ gr8ful4na@optonline.net to send report.

6) BOD report
Mitchell S extended a sincere apology to RCM’s for how he communicated regarding the RD
nominations.
Paying off the $20,000 loan the RSO took for literature. Balance is 16,666.00
New insurance cycle beginning in October
First lump sum payment is larger then the remaining 9 month installments.
Sent no later then the 13th of October.
Paul W will send information to all areas.
7) Convention Committee Report
Need volunteers
$4,931.00 of NYGR RSO merchandise sold at World Convention in two hours.
They placed thousands of chips on tables to promote the GNYR Convention.
Tremendous effort by Lynne, volunteers and members of the BOD.
Fundraising in October..
Pasta Game Day, 1st Saturday of October, noon to 5, $10, Manhattan
Halloween Masquerade, Sat 27th of Oct. 6- midnight, $10, Manhattan

They are also requesting $400 from area
E&A proposes that any money made be recycled back in order to put together a Halloween event

Area will host a learning day which will take place at the United Methodist Church in Riverhead on 11-
4-18 at 1:00 pm. Topics will include: GSR workshop, information about area and H+I, and a chairperson
workshop. There will be prizes and all who arrive will receive a raffle.

Announcements and Anniversaries:
 Area will next meet on October 7th 2018 at 4:00 pm at the united Methodist church in
Riverhead. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
 H+I is in need of addicts to do service and help carry the message. All addicts with at least 6
months or more of clean time are encouraged to the next H+I subcommittee which will be held
on October 7th at 3:00pm at the united Methodist church in Riverhead.
 Easter Long Island Area will hosting a BBQ at Indian Island Park in Riverhead from 12 – dusk.
Admission is free. Food, fun fellowship, prizes, raffles, and a speaker meeting. All groups are
being asked to contact Debi V to coordinate side dishes. She can be reached at 631-284-3878
 Wish you were here which meets in Aquabogue on Wednesdays at 8:00 pm is in need of
physical and financial support, all commitments are open.
 Lit recovery which meets at grace episcopal church in Riverhead on Saturdays is in need of
people to take commitments
