Open Commitment
There has been emails circulating about the holiday party and that it wasn’t paid for or
voted on, Caroline reports it is in her treasurer report that in October we as an area had
a conversation about keeping the money from the halloween party/picnic for a christmas
party. This was not in the minutes. There was a lot of discussion back and forth about the
holiday party. A motion was made to host the event or cancel it. Pros and cons were
discussed,
Kenny con – we don’t know how much money the event needs
Abby pro – we have not been able to host an event at that church in a very long time, so
the approval for this event is a huge pro
Anthony pro – believes that the funds wont be high
Susan pro – the DJ will only cost be 150, the event has a lot of support already, also the
event is in the riverhead area which is central to a good amount of addicts
Vote passed the event will be happening Friday December 21 at the Grace Episcopal
church in riverhead for information or to get involved see Susan 631-664-9886
Susan is requesting $500 for the holiday party
